Between 2010 and 2014, I created online videos on the YouTube channel RandomMoviesForU. During this time, I gained over 1,500 subscribers and over 1.5 million combined video views. I enjoyed creating videos by using pre-existing movies and editing them to songs to create new stories. I am a self-taught video editor and this channel allowed me to greatly improve my video editing skills as tested out various video editing techniques, used multiple editing softwares (such as Final Cut 7, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and After Effects) and collaborated with other video editors.
Below is a selection of significant videos that I created for this YouTube channel.

This is one of my most viewed videos on my RandomMoviesForU channel as it has close to 300,000 views. This video is what is called a "cross-over video" as it takes two Disney movies and edits them together to make them look as if they belonged to the one film. I combined the characters from 'The Little Mermaid' and 'Peter Pan' to create my own new story. The key editing techniques used to make this video were masking and storytelling. I used Adobe After Effects heavily for this video.
I created this video when I reached 1000 subscribers and it now has over 12,000 views. I used numerous films in this video and created my own 'colouring' (the process of changing the colour of the video through editing the colour balance, threshold etc.).
This video was created as a collaboration with other YouTubers. We edited short snippets from different parts of the song and then combined them in a full length video. The key editing techniques used to make this video were masking and typography.
This video was also created as a collaboration with other YouTubers. The key editing techniques used to make this video were fast paced transitions to align with the beats and lyrics in the music.
This video was the first kinetic typography video I created and was made entirely using After Effects. I had to ensure the type matched the music and was engaging to watch. I came up with creative solutions to display the text and have it interact with each other.
